I have a Compaq HP Presario v2000 notebook.
I do no have the CDs and would like to run a FULL destructive Recovery.

I remember doing it before, on reboot i pressed one of the F keys which took me to the System Restore screen. I cant remember which key i pressed, and i have tried several of them but still can find the right one. Any other way to run a system restore?

JJBRO#1 asked:

Every time i do a system restore or even a system recovery i keep regaining a trojan. Is this bad? Are there good trojans?
how do i disable recovery and go into safe mode?
the antivirus finds the trojan but the thing is it finds it every time i restore the computer! Once i delete it isn’t it supposed to be gone forever?

How to avoid the System Recovery Option?

system recovery
Dizzy asked:

Basically every time I turn my laptop on, it goes straight to the system recovery options. I’ve run Startup Repair and Windows Memory Diagnostics Tool, and ran a few tests and it said there’s nothing wrong with my laptop.

I’ve shut it down and restarted it a few times but it still goes straight to the system recovery options instead of the logging-in page.

Any idea what’s wrong with it? Or how I can avoid the system recovery options and go straight to the login bit?

Btw I use Vista >.<

Thanks in advance

How do you get files back after system recovery?

system recovery
asked:

My computer somehow got spyware not long ago. My dad did the nondestructive system recovery, and he told me it wouldn’t mess up any of my data. Well, it did. I am a writer and I have all of my books on my computer–first manuscripts and such. I need help getting these files back! I can’t find them anywhere!

How to run System Recovery without pressing F-10 on reboot?

system recovery
Wayde asked:

I’m trying to run my computer’s system restore feature off the recovery partition, but when I press F-10 at reboot when it prompts, the computer boots the operating system instead of bringing up the recovery options. I have held the button down and pressed it repeatedly as it boots, and it still won’t bring up the recovery options. Is there any way to run the recovery partition’s system recovery when Windows is booted?
