I have tries some other software but it only recovers a couple photos and no videos? Can I recover them fore free? I do not was a trial version where you have to pay to actually recover the files, I want a completely free program that recovers photos and videos.

My kids did something to my computer and it crashed I have tried to use the system restore cd’s it came with The backup cd’s I made and a fresh install of Vistas and it is still saying it cannot find my c drive when I try a fresh install and when I use the cd’s it will start loading windows and then just blank back out to a black screen with a system 32 error of some sort
