I just bought a sony vaio with windows 7 and i also have a compaq laptop with windows vista (Which struggles to keep up with almost any task done on the laptop). Due to the the constant crashing i want to reboot it with my windows 7 recovery disk, that i just created for my new laptop?
i also have windows xp recovery disks from an old desktop, is it possible to use that either?

I have a Hp Pavilion DV9000 series 17 notebook. It says it has 105 gigs with 67.8 gigs free space on the C drive. I’m trying to find out where all of the additional room is since it doesn’t add up. I have done searches and it shows 6.58 gigs on the D drive (HP recovery) and 3 gigs in the windows folder. Program files says 12.58 gigs.

Windows : – 3.00

82.84 gigs left. My system says it’s 67.8 gigs so where is it.

I have been having blue screen of death syndrome quite frequently. I was told it creates huge dump files which can be deleted but i cant find them.
