I did a system recovery on my windows xp and usually all the vids etc that I downloaded and my desktop come back. This time it didn’t, and I did all the same stuff. Also I know that I didn’t accidentally use a destructive version because all of the programs I downloaded still have icons on my start menu, which doesnt happen with the destructive one. Does anyone know how I can get my stuff back?

It said I would be able to access them after the system recovery, I see all of my files but when I try to play the mp3s it says file not supported in both realplayer and media player. Ok my computer use to have system recovery till we got it fixed. When it was fixed meaning everything got erased because of viruses when ever I tried to get it to come it wouldn’t even open. Then the computer got fixed again but this time the setup mode and system recovery don’t even show up. Were they erased to? If they were do I have to download it or is it locked somewhere? I use Compaq Presario for microsoft Windows XP.

I downloaded Picasa a month ago and accidentally deleted some photo files but was able to recover them immediately from the recycle bin. Now I cant find those photos and when I searched for this, found the photos converted in various files and the path is Microsoft\OIS\Thumbnails. What happened here? I can no longer view the photos individually. Please help … these are my wedding and my son’s baby photos.

will creating the disks now still restore windows 7 back to factory settings? my computer like most didn’t come with a windows 7 cd. also my restore point wont go back far enough to make the changes … i have a toshiba… if it won’t help with the disk is there any other way?
