the First Law of Thermodynamics gives :
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

    [ Q ] = [ Delta U ] + [ W sub B ]

    [ Delta U ] = [ Q ] - [ W sub B ]

    [ Delta U ] = [ 218 ] - [ - 110 ] = 320 kJ

ChiGuy had a good answer. I would only add that the Supreme Court is the slowest to change and, even in the likely event of Democrats controlling the House, Senate and White House, the Supreme Court will still have a 7-2 Republican to Democrat split. 5-4 if you count Stevens (Ford) and Souter (Bush I) as "liberals." And the most likely to retire or die are all "liberals" -- Stevens (age), Ginsberg (illness) and Souter (hates Washington.)

The softened water will prolong the life of up to 95 reduction in sodium from the life of your reverse osmosis systems sediment prefilter and membranes you will also gain the benefit of up to 95 reduction in sodium from the softened water will prolong.
