I installed windows 7, but my system recovery runs each time I restart my gateway laptop?

Yoes, I completely installed window 7, and while I was going through Windows 7 start up guide. My computer restarted and My gateway system recovery software began to run. I restarted the system many time, but with no success. In the end I had use the system restore bring back Vista. Any Help would be great!
