How can i run a destructive system recovery on my computer?

I have a Compaq HP Presario v2000 notebook.
I do no have the CDs and would like to run a FULL destructive Recovery.

I remember doing it before, on reboot i pressed one of the F keys which took me to the System Restore screen. I cant remember which key i pressed, and i have tried several of them but still can find the right one. Any other way to run a system restore?

The recovery partition its pretty simple from that should boot it into the recovery partition its pretty simple from that should boot it into the computer as it starts to reboot tap the f10 key repeatedly that point hope that helps.

F11 when the White Compaq logo screen appears then it will appear Starting Compaq system recovery and the White compaq logo loading screen ,a description screen appears, click OK, then click advanced options and select Destructive Recovery and accept all prompts until a progress bar appears
